If you tuned into our YouTube live event with Mark from Trucking Answers, you may have heard him refer to our job type and schedule opportunities as a buffet of options. We love that analogy and think he’s exactly right. At Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI), we have purposely developed a variety of job types and schedule options for our drivers to choose from so they can have a work life that fits their personal life.
Grab a Plate & Apply to Dot Transportation
The first step to getting access to DTI’s buffet of options is to apply. Just like grabbing a plate at the start of a buffet line, the first thing you’ll want to do is grab an application. You can find available jobs near you by clicking here.
Check Out the Main Plate Items
As you move along in a buffet line, the first thing you will come across is the main plate items; the primary dishes. This is the equivalent of DTI’s job type options:
- Delivery
- No-Touch Freight
- Team Driver
Before you can dive into your side dishes and schedule options, you have to decide what type of driver you’d like to be.
Find the Side Dishes That Are Best For You
Once you’ve determined what type of driver you want to be, the next step is to look at your schedule options—the side dishes to accompany the main course. At DTI, we have come up with a variety of schedules so you can find one that fits your lifestyle. These schedules include:
- Traditional schedule (typically dispatched 2-5 days per trip)
- Six days on, three days off (6×3)
- Four days on, four days off (4×4)
- Part-time
While schedule options may vary slightly from location to location, most schedules are available for delivery and no-touch freight driver job types.
Top It Off With Dessert
Finally, it wouldn’t be a good buffet without an extensive dessert table. That’s where pay, benefits, work perks, equipment, and more come into play.
When you drive for DTI, you’ll find a people-centric, family-first environment focused on YOU. Plus, an in-house support system rooting for your success. This support system includes:
- Localized dispatch
- In-house garage team
- In-house occupational health trainers and physical therapists
- Management with an open-door policy
You’ll also find an activity-based pay system with ample incentive-based pay and bonus opportunities to help you make the most of your miles. DTI also offers all full-time drivers $22K-worth of benefits, as well as a 401(k) company match and a profit-sharing program.
