The process of getting hired at any company can be frustrating. Most of the time, no one tells you how you can make the process move a bit quicker. (DTI), there are five things you can do to help us move the process along and make the waiting time between submitting your application and getting hired shorter.
1. Call us if you have questions
If you have any questions, hesitations, or concerns about driving for DTI or are having trouble filling out your application, be sure to give us a call. We have a team who is willing to walk through any step in the process with you or answer any questions you have. If they don’t answer when you first call, leave a message! They’ll get back to you as soon as they can.
2. Visit DriveForDot.com to apply
To launch your driving career at Dot Transportation, fill out your application online by visiting DriveForDot.com. Our application is easy to fill out. It shouldn’t take you more than 20 minutes to complete.
On the road and don’t have time to complete the application on your own? Call our transportation team at 877-896-1692 and they’ll be able to fill out the application for you over the phone.
3. Answer the phone when we call
After you submit your application, you’ll hear from our team in 24 to 48 hours. The phone call will be coming from our centralized team at our headquarters in Mt. Sterling, Illinois, so the caller ID that shows up on your phone will have a 217 area code. Pick up the phone when we call, if you can! Otherwise, call us back ASAP so we can continue pushing your application through the process.
4. Download the Driver Pulse by Tenstreet app
You can download the Driver Pulse by Tenstreet app either before or after you complete the application. This app will help us stay in touch with you during the process. Plus, if you’ve applied for CDL jobs through Tenstreet before, then your information will have been saved in their system—making applying to drive for Dot Transportation even easier!

5. Turn on notifications for the Driver Pulse app
Turn on notifications for the Pulse app so you can know exactly when we need something from you, such as a signature or permission to pull your Clearinghouse data. These notifications help us communicate with you directly, provide you with updates on your application process, and notifies you when there is an action you need to take that will move your application further through the process.
