DTI, Your Driver, & You

As the family member of a professional truck driver, you know better than anyone what it’s like when your driver is away and the pressure that puts on you. If your driver is interested in joining our team, we want you to be just as excited about joining the DTI family.

What to Expect

This page is 100% for you. We give you a transparent run-down of what it will be like for your family if your driver drives for DTI. How much they’ll get paid, what their first few months will look like, how often we’ll get them home, benefits for your family, and more. We break it all down right here.

Length of Training

DTI training includes two weeks of classroom orientation and then multiple weeks of hands-on, over-the-road training with a DTI driver trainer in the cab. Training will take four to 10 weeks depending on the driver’s level of experience and how quickly they learn company guidelines. Our goal is to get your driver on the road as soon as they can safely be on their own.

Activity-Based Pay

Last year, the fleet-wide driver salary average was $105,000! Once training is complete, your driver will be able to hit the road. There, they’ll get paid for every part of their job—not just their mileage. For each activity your driver completes on the road, they earn some sort of compensation. This pay structure sets us apart from other transportation companies. We respect the hard work our drivers do and want to pay our drivers for every part of the driving job.
