We have a wide range of options to help you find the kind of driving job you’re looking for. If you want consistent home time, we can get you there. If you don’t want to touch freight, you don’t have to. If you want to make the most money possible, we have options for that, too.

Driver Job Type Options
Delivery Driver
When you’re a company delivery driver for DTI, you will:
- Spend time behind the wheel of a DTI truck
- Unload product at our customers’ docks
- Pick up product from suppliers to bring back to Dot’s warehouses
No-Touch Freight Driver
When driving for DTI, you do not have to throw freight. As a no-touch driver, you will:
- Spend time behind the wheel of a DTI truck
- Meet other DTI drivers at company terminals for turns
- Deliver loads to customers that don’t require you to unload the trailer
Team Driver
Want to share the road with another driver? If so, team driving may be for you. As a team driver, you will:
- Split time behind the wheel with your driving partner
- Transfer freight from one distribution center to another
- Meet other DTI drivers at company terminals for turns
- Deliver loads to customers
- Pick up loads from suppliers
Team driving is offered as both no-touch and delivery positions.
Local Versus Regional
Most of the drivers at DTI are regional. We offer a few local driving positions at a limited number of DCs. Contact the DC closest to you to find out if they offer local driving positions.
Schedule Options
Traditional Schedule
Drivers on the traditional schedule at DTI are also known as customer delivery specialists (CDS) and deliver about two loads per week. Drivers on this schedule will be home for an average of two days each week, but this can vary depending on your location and how far away a customer is from your home distribution center (DC).
4 Days On, 4 Days Off (4x4) Schedule
The four days on, four days off schedule is exactly what it sounds like—you get four days on the road and then four days at home. The best part about the 4x4 is you know which days you are working and which days you are at home for the entire year, which makes planning home life much easier.
6 Days On, 3 Days Off (6x3) Schedule
Another option with DTI is to have a rotating schedule of six days on the road and three days at home. Similar to the 4x4 schedule, you will know which days you will be on the road and which days you will be home for the whole year.
4x3 Flip Schedule
Work a rotating weekly schedule of four days on the road and three days at home one week, then three days on and four days off the next week.* This flipping schedule is popularly called the “four-by-three flip.”
